PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for hot forming which is improved in strength in a joint at spot welding and allows excellent forming without causing breaks, cracks, etc., at hot forming, and to provide a hot formed article or the like to be formed using such a steel sheet. SOLUTION: The steel sheet for hot forming contains 0.1 to 0.35% C, 0.7 to 2.5% Si, 0.5 to 5% Mn, 0.005 to 0.5% Al, 0.005 to 0.05% Ti, 0.003 to 0.005% B, 0.001 to 0.01% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and satisfies the relationship in inequality ([Ti]/47.9)×14.0-[N]≥0(mass%) (wherein [Ti] and [N] represent the respective contents (mass%) of Ti and N, respectively).
