PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module capable of switching normal photography, macro photography, and the like without using a manual lever. SOLUTION: The camera module 1 includes a housing 2, a lens unit 3, a holder 4 for storing the lens unit 3, a magnet 5 mounted on the holder 4, a first coil 6 and a second coil 7 provided in the housing 2, and an imaging element 11. A step of shifting the holder 4 to a first position on the side of a first magnetic body 8 or to a second position on the side of a second magnetic body 9, by feeding the first coil 6 and the second coil 7 with DC current so that first coil 6 and the second coil 7 generate magnetic fields mutually in reverse directions; and a step of stopping the DC current fed to the first coil 6 and the second coil 7 and holding the holder 4, which was shifted to the first or second position, at the first or second position through the magnetism of the magnet 5 are provided.
