<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which the state when a shut off valve in a fuel supply path is not normal can be deduced. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell 1, a fuel cell supply path 2 supplying to the fuel cell 1, an oxidant supply path 20 supplying the oxidant to the fuel cell 1, and a shut-off valve 6 provided in the fuel supply path 2. The system is also provided with a valve opening command means for producing a valve opening command to open the shut off valve 6, a valve-open detecting means for detecting the opening of the shut off valve 6, a passage of time measuring means for measuring the passage of time, starting from the producing of the valve-opening command to open the shut-off valve 6 to the detection of the opening of the shut-off valve, and an estimating means estimating that the shut-off valve 6 is in a first abnormal state, when the opening of the shut off valve 6 is not detected within a specified time TS from the issuance of the valve-opening command opening the shut-off valve 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
