<p>A handover control method using an RS(Relay Station) is provided to enable MSs(Mobile Stations) located within an RS area to effectively carry out handover procedures. An MS monitors an allocated uplink band, and obtains an MAC(Medium Access Control) address and a CID(Connection ID) of the MS(S101-S104). The MS transmits a scanning request message which includes the MAC address of the MS to a BS(Base Station)(S105). The MS receives a scanning response message which includes a scanning period and scanning section information from the BS(S106,S107). The MS scans neighboring BSs by using the information included in the scanning response message.</p> |
