PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method capable of stably ensuring wettability of the surface of a blanket and excellent in printability such as printing accuracy, and to provide a printing apparatus. SOLUTION: By using the printing apparatus equipped with the blanket 10 for carrying an ink 13 to be transferred on a body 14 to be printed on the surface, and a sucking nozzle 15 for sucking the solvent of the ink absorbed in the blanket 10, after the ink 13 is transferred on the body 14 to be printed from the blanket 10, the blanket 10 is blanket-sucked by a sucking nozzle 15 to suck the solvent of the ink absorbed in the blanket 10.
