<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong diagnosis of abnormality of a gear ratio even when diagnosis is performed in a speed reducing operation where engine brake is not acted. <P>SOLUTION: An actual gear ratio GRR is operated on the basis of an input shaft rotating speed and an output shaft rotating speed of a transmission. A normal gear ratio GRD is determined on the basis of a gear shift stage at that time. The abnormality in gear ratio is judged when the actual gear ratio is deflected to a low side or a high side with respect to the normal gear ratio GRD under an acting condition of the engine brake, and the abnormality is judged when the actual gear ratio is deflected only to the low-side, under non-acting condition of the engine brake. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
