PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cap component which is composed of environmentally-friendly materials while using a lead-free based sealing glass for the sealing between an optically-transparent glass member and a metal shell, and high in sealing strength between the optically-transparent glass member and the metal shell even when gold plating or the like is applied onto the surface of the metal shell. SOLUTION: The optical cap component 1 is composed by sealing the optically-transparent glass member 4 and the metal shell 2 with a tin phosphate-based sealing glass 3. A gold thin-film is formed on the surface of the metal shell. The sealing between the optically-transparent glass member and the metal shell is executed via an inter-metal compound layer formed of Au of the gold thin-film applied onto the surface of the metal shell, and Sn contained in the tin phosphate-based sealing glass.
