PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus having a superior characteristic such as high precision in durability by using an insulating base of a tape-carrier semiconductor package which has high elasticity and mechanical strength, and which does not cause distortion and connection defect due to thermal history. SOLUTION: In the display apparatus using a display element such as a plasma display receiving a driving signal whose peak-to-peak voltage is 20V or above through the tape-carrier semiconductor package, the insulating base of the tape-carrier semiconductor package is a film having a curl degree of 10% or below at 300°C, especially a polyimide film which is mainly composed of polyimide benzo oxazole obtained by reacting aromatic diamines having a benzo oxazole construction and aromatic tetrapod carboxylic anhydrides, and whose coefficient of linear expansion is 2 to 15 ppm/°C.
