1343422 Dust shield tubes for telescopic shock absorbers GIRLING Ltd 19 April 1971 [3 March 1970] 10104/70 Heading F2S [Also in Division B5] A tubular dirt shield 1 for a telescopic shock absorber comprises two axially spaced rows of spaced internal projections 2, 3 integrally moulded with the tubular moulding, each projection in one row registering with a space between adjacent projections of the other row. The projections may taper in radial thickness and in circumferential width away from the other row. The shield 1 may be of polypropylene and may be injection moulded (see Division B5). As shown, the two rows of projections extend circumferentially, but they may extend helically. |
