PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bend a workpiece at right angle by a single press working without using a complicated cam mechanism and without arranging a restriking step separately. SOLUTION: This bending die device is used for bending the workpiece W at right angle with the punch 3 of an upper die after pressing down the work placed on the die 1 of a lower die with the workpiece pad 2 of the upper die. The punch 3 is formed with a first working part 4, a second working part 5 and a third working part 6 in order from the workpiece pad 2 side, and these first working part, second working part and third working part are formed stepwise. With the preliminarily bending part 6c of the third working part, preliminary bending for bending the workpiece downward is performed and also the deflected part 7 of the workpiece is generated in the bottom part of the punch. With the first working part, the deflected part of the workpiece is caused to flow out to the second working part and also pressed against the die. With the second working part, a part 7B which is caused to flow out to the second working part is bent at right angle and also a part 7A which is bent by first contact of the second working part with the workpiece is pushed against the surface 1b for bending the workpiece at right angle of the die.
