The invention is related to an inflammation- and explosion-protected plasma-generating device (1) for the treatment of air, wherein the plasma is at least partially encased by a wire mesh, the wire mesh being dimensioned suchlike to allow for prevention of a flame to escape the housing. The invention is especially useful in order to fulfil the safety and security requirements for aviation purposes, especially civil aircrafts. |
