PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material feeder capable of reliably feeding a sheet material without any defective sheet feed even when the sheet material stacked on the feeder is curled. SOLUTION: By providing a flexible sheet 33 which is a means for pressing a curl of a sheet material on the upstream side in the conveying direction of a paper feed roller 6 and in the vicinity of a sheet material conveying reference part 30, the sheet material is urged by the rigidity of the flexible sheet 33 in a process that a pressure plate 3 is turned and elevated, and the curl is straightened thereby. Thus, occurrence of meandering during the paper feed and jamming caused by hooking of a tip of the sheet material to a roller shaft 31 is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
