PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a user's economic burden required for an ink tank change in an inkjet printer which carries a plurality of ink tanks of the same type. SOLUTION: The plurality of ink tanks of the same type are prevented from becoming empty simultaneously by shifting the usage rate of an ink. As a result, the timing to replace the plurality of carried ink tanks of the same type can be equalized. The usage rate of an ink is shifted so that the difference of the ink residual amount for the plurality of ink tanks of the same type is 1/n of the full tank capacity when the number of ink tanks to be loaded is n.
