PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which can be operated according to a life pattern by predicting correctly a pattern of contamination in a room and automatically forming an operation pattern. SOLUTION: An amount of operation air determined from a contamination level detected from a gas detecting part 5, a dust detecting part 7, and a person detecting part 6 detecting a person in the room equipped in a body 1, is further controlled by the detection level of the person detecting part 6; thus the air cleaner which can efficiently be operated according to the life pattern without needless operation is obtained.
