<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a pressing operation for making an end part in the wale direction of each toe bag or finger bag at the end of knitting always in a piled state and arranging the shape of socks or gloves. <P>SOLUTION: The method for knitting socks or gloves with toe bags or fingers bags comprising knitting toe tips or fingertips by using a flat knitting machine and forming pleated parts on toe crotch or finger crotch in a state in which adjoining toe bags or finger bags with at least one toe crotch between are piled at the end parts in the wale direction of the toe bags or the finger bags. In the two adjoining tubular parts, a plurality of knit stitches at the end part in the wale direction of one tubular part in the knitted fabric part of a rear knitted fabric part in the other tubular part are transferred to the knit stitches of an opposing front knitted fabric part and piled on the the knit stitches. Then, a plurality of knit stitches at the end part in the wale direction of the other tubular part which are the same of the front knitted fabric part as the knitted fabric part provided with overlapped stitches of the other tubular part in one tubular part are piled on the overlapped stitches of the other tubular part.
