Coking system and reactors Coking system functioning on the batchwise feeding of coking blends, preferably on a hardcoal base, to a reactor which is heated indirectly by heat recovery in regenerators or recuperators, where the reactor is of a high-capacity type and provided with two rigid lateral walls, the flue walls delimiting the reactor chamber are of a plane-parallel configuration, rigidly supported against the lateral walls and equipped with vertically arranged heating flues which will be provided with separate control and/or adjusting elements. Several reactors are united to form reactor blocks. The regenerators viz. recuperators may be arranged either laterally to or underneath the reactor chamber. The different reactors are operatable independently in terms of statics and heat supply. Neighbouring reactors may have one intermediate wall in common.
