<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an AGV (automated guided vehicle) 3 to detect a connecting structure of trucks 4 drawn thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The AGV 3 transmits a telegram including a truck connecting structure detecting code "CON" to the trucks 4, and each truck 4 adds, upon receipt of the telegram, its own truck identification code to the telegram, transfers, if a following truck to transfer is present, the resulting communication data to the following truck, and returns the communication data to the AGV. By this, the AGV 3 receives return data with one truck identification code from the head truck, and receives return data with n-pieces of truck identification codes from the n-th truck.
