PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that improves precision of color/monochrome counting and makes it possible to select a decision method that a user requests. SOLUTION: The image processor is switched according to specifications of output modes to determine whether a color/monochrome decision is made not based upon color processing settings or whether a color/monochrome decision is made depending upon color processing settings.
