A method of planting a willow on a riverside by digging a hole on the riverside, inserting a wooden fence into the hole followed by a mat, putting soil into the mat and then planting the willow is provided to realize easy planting of the willow on the riverside slope and improve the growth of the willow. The willow is planted by the steps of: making a planting hole(3) on the riverside to plant plants(1); supporting the planting hole by inserting a wooden fence(5) with a net shape into the planting hole; inserting a cylindrical planting mat(7) into the wooden fence; and putting planting soil(9) into the planting mat to supply nutrients necessary for planting the willow. The planting mat has a plurality of holes(7a) to take root outside the planting hole. |
