<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid that density correction is judged as un-executable and shipping is canceled even to a printer without any practical problem. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for judging whether or not to execute density correction of an image, the method includes a step for printing on a medium a pattern for checking in the case of not executing the density correction and a pattern for checking when the density correction is executed, a step for reading a density of each pattern for checking, a step for obtaining irregularities of the density of each pattern for checking on the basis of the read value of the density, a step for judging whether or not to execute the density correction of the image on the basis of both the comparison result of the irregularities of the densities between the patterns for checking and the comparison result with a predetermined threshold of the irregularity of the density of the pattern for checking when the density correction is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
