The invention concerns an interrupt module having better electromagnetic behaviour enabling formation of electric arcs upon interruptions to be reduced, simple in design and economical, based on a so-called universal design compatible for producing different electrical appliances. Said interrupt module (1) comprises four fixed contacts (4a,a',b,b') and two pairs of mobile contacts (6a,a',b,b') mounted mobile in rotation about a common axis of rotation (A) and coupled by a rotating mechanism (7) designed to reverse the rotational direction of one pair of mobile contacts relative to the other pair of mobile contacts such that in pulled-in position the current flows from the upstream fixed contact (4a) towards the downstream fixed contact (4b) describing a crossover loop (B). The invention is applicable to any type of electrical interrupt appliance.
