<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light scattering film that can improve changes in the grayscale in a wide viewing angle side while keeping the display quality in the front view when the film is applied to a VA (vertically aligned) mode liquid crystal display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The light scattering film 1 to be stuck to the outermost surface of a display apparatus, the display quality of which shows no azimuth angle dependence but polar angle dependence is controlled in such a manner that an elliptic scattering material 3b in a light scattering layer 3 is aligned with the major axial direction to be along the normal direction of the film, the absolute haze H(0) with respect to the incident light in the normal direction of the film ranges from 0 to 20%, and the haze H(40) with respect to the incident light at 40° polar angle from the normal direction ranges from 30 to 50%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
