PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively improving wear resistance of a rotary shaft and easily and effectively suppressing variance in size due to heat shrinkage of a photoreceptor drum and a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a photoreceptor drum having an amorphous-silicon based photosensitive layer on its outer peripheral surface, the photoreceptor drum being characterized in that the amorphous-silicon based photosensitive layer is formed a portion of the rotary shaft rotating the photoreceptor drum which projects from one side part of the photoreceptor drum and radial ribs are provided which extend from a bearing portion to an internal wall of the photoreceptor drum.
