<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of further improving a security level. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle control device 12 has a collation control part 14 for collating an ID code set in a portable machine 11 with an ID code set in itself by communication with the portable machine 11, and a power source control part 15 capable of starting an engine when collation is materialized and capable of switching a function position of an electric system of a vehicle 2 to an ignition ON state. The power source control part 15 determines whether or not an occupant stays in a vehicle room when the engine is stopped and the function position is put in a function ON state being ignition ON, and prohibits starting of the engine by switching the function position to an ignition OFF state when determining that the occupant does not stay in the vehicle room. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
