The remote operation (1) is for controlled connection of a television set or a radio to a transmitter. It may also be used for connection to a television channel on a specific frequency. It comprises a housing (2) which contains at least one signal producer, a programmable integrated connection, a signal source and a voltage source. The housing is provided with a switch knob (3) which on operation causes a previously arranged signal to be emitted, which causes the television to be connected directly to a television channel to be promoted. The switch knob is centrally fitted and is formed differently to the other knobs (4,5). The housing is provided with one or more publicity messages, such as in the form of logos, brand names, name of television transmitters and similar.
