PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle audio system which includes a plurality of sources, is constituted of a plurality of blocks (modules) and is effectively driven by a battery having a variable power supply voltage or to provide an audio system which is made suitable for a battery driven type. SOLUTION: A parameter such as a lowest voltage, by which a block that is constituted of a plurality of sources such as CDs and MDs or the like (a first source 41 and a second source 42) is made operable, is stored in a memory 22 of a microcomputer 20 or the like. Then, discrimination is made to determine whether the voltage of a reference power supply 31 that is a battery is equal to or more than the lowest voltage by which the sources 41 and 42 are operable or not. Depending on the result of the determination, power supplies 32 and 33 of the sources 41 and 42 are stopped. When the voltage of the power supply 31 is less than the lowest voltage, operations are inhibited for every source. |
