<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly image recording and reproducing device which records and reproduces a plurality of pieces of video data such as a monitoring camera system. <P>SOLUTION: Even when progressive video data are one frame image photographed in the same period by a pair of an ODD field and the next EVEN field, even when the progressive video data are one frame image photographed in the same period by a pair of the EVEN field and the next ODD field, the image is fetched in a memory 103 as a frame image according to the pair in the case of the progressive video data, inter-image prediction coding of a frame structure in an inter-image prediction coding means 106 is performed when video data output after being written in the memory 103 are the progressive video data and prediction coding of the field structure is performed in the inter-image prediction coding means 106 when the video data are the interlace video data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
