PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device in which the outside diameter is made small and a reduction in operating noise is attained. SOLUTION: The lens drive device 1A is constituted so that a first rotor 55 and a first eccentric cam 71 are rotated by applying a drive signal to a first coil 512, and a first movable member 81 is alternately displaced to the leading end side and the basal end side, linked with the first rotor 55 and the first eccentric cam 71. During the above process, the drive signal is not applied to a second coil 612. When the first movable member 81 is displaced to the basal end side, the coil spring 90 is deformed in the direction in which the coil spring 90 is wound. This force is transmitted to a movable lens body 10 via a rotation/direct action conversion mechanism 8.
