PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable lift valve gear for an internal combustion engine suppressing generation of vibration of a control shaft. SOLUTION: In a variable lift valve gear for the internal combustion engine provided with a control shaft 34 capable of rotating in a regular/a reverse direction and varying open lift quantity of an engine valve according to rotation of the control shaft 34, a vibration reduction means 131 is attached to the control shaft 34.
