A prism fixing structure in an optical engine is provided to install a prism on a base in a state in which the prism is adhered to a prism attachment surface when the prism is installed in the prism fixing structure, thereby preventing an air gap occurring at the time of bonding. A prism fixing structure comprises a prism attachment surface(114) attached to a prism(70). The attachment surface(114) has holes(112) for injecting an adhesive agent to adhere the prism(70) to the attachment surface(114). The attachment surface(114) has at least two holes. An opening(118) through which light transmitted from the prism(70) is formed in the prism attachment surface(114). The holes are formed around the prism(70) attached to the attachment surface(114). A prism fixing unit(116) limits movement in a side direction of the prism(70) installed to the attachment surface(114).
