PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a biaryl compound having an amino group. SOLUTION: The method for producing the biaryl compound represented by formula (4) (wherein, Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>are each the same or different and represent each an arylene group or a heteroarylene group which may be substituted; and Y and Z represent each a hydrogen atom, an amino group or an aminoalkyl group, with the proviso that both the Y and Z are not hydrogen atoms) is carried out as follows. An aromatic organic compound represented by formula (1) (wherein, X represents a leaving group) is reacted with at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of an aromatic organoboron compound represented by formula (2) (wherein, Q<SB>1</SB>and Q<SB>2</SB>are each the same or different and represent each a hydroxy group or a 1-4C alkoxy group or Q<SB>1</SB>and Q<SB>2</SB>are bound to represent a 1-6C alkylenedioxy group or a catecholate group) and a boroxin ring compound represented by formula (3) in the presence of a zero-valent nickel catalyst, a phosphine ligand and a base.
