PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proximity switch device capable of delayingly or immediately operating a load, and to provide a lighting control system. SOLUTION: The proximity switch device 1 is provided with an infrared receiving means 17 detecting a reflected infrared ray emitted from an infrared transmitting means 15 and reflected by an object, a clocking means 13a clocking detection time of the serial reflected infrared ray and load-control means 13, 19 inversely controlling switching of the load 10 and controlling the load 10 to be delayingly turned off or the load 19 to be immediately turned off according to the detection time clocked by the clocking means 13a when the load 10 is in an ON state whenever the reflection infrared ray is detected by the infrared receiving means 17.
