PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for protection which is compatible with two or more kinds of discharge overcurrents, while suppressing the increase of the area of an IC chip, by being equipped with a delay circuit which delays it by a delay time being determined for every detecting circuit and a short circuit which shortens the delay time of this delay circuit at a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This battery pack 20 is equipped with a semiconductor device 1 for protection, a secondary battery 21, an NMOS transistor M21 for discharge control, an NMOS transistor M22 for charge control, a capacitor C21, a resistor R21, and a resistor R22. Moreover, it is equipped with a plus terminal 22 and a minus terminal 23. What is more, a charger or a load device 30 is connected to the plus terminal 22 and the minus terminal 23.
