<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method substantially reducing the torque demand of a dental file. <P>SOLUTION: This dental reamer/file has a form of a narrow and long shaft having a proximal end 12, a distal end 14, and a tapered operation part 16 extending therebetween and having a prescribed length: and is characterized in that the outer surface of the operation part of the shaft has at least two continuous recessed helical flutes 18 disposed at an equal interval, and the equal number of spiral flanges provided apart from each other; each flange has an outside end defined by a first face and a second face crossing with each other at the maximum radius position from the longitudinal axis of the shaft in a surface perpendicular to the length of the longitudinal axis; the first face is relatively short; the second face is relatively long; and the maximum radius position is formed with a scraping edge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
