<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing element that has a low pressure drop and a high mixing and stirring efficiency and is obtained at a low cost and easy to scale up and a static fluid mixer using the mixing element, and a gas/liquid contactor having energy-saving and space-saving nature and high processing capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The mixing element 1 has a cylindrical conduit pipe 2 through which fluid flows and a plurality of the first vane members 3 of a clockwise type composed of a spiral porous body installed in the conduit pipe 2. Inside the vane members 3, the first internal pipe 5 of a cylindrical type is placed in which a plurality of spiral vane members 6 of a clockwise type are provided.
