PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for detecting non-updated data as an error when data to be updated is not updated in a device to apply parity check. SOLUTION: A semiconductor circuit comprises a parity bit adding circuit (5) to add a parity bit (22) to data (21) to be read into a CPU (4) and generate data with parity bit (23); a register (6) to store the data (23); a parity check circuit (7) to apply parity check to the data (23) read out from the register (6); and a parity bit inverting circuit (8) to generate an inverted bit (24) which has been inverted the parity bit (22) of the data (23) in response to the application completion of the parity check and update the parity bit (22) in the register (6) to the inverted bit (24).
