<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an optical head apparatus in which a vibration level of high-order resonance can be reduced by securing stiffness of a lens holder even when a notch part is provided at a side plane of the lens holder for thinning the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A lens holder 11 has a lens holding part 110 holding an objective lens 6, while has wall parts 113, 113 extended to a focusing direction from a lens holding part 110, tip parts of six wires 12 of which the base ends are displaceably held by the holder supporting member 113 and which hold the lens holder 11 are fixed to this wall parts 113, 113, while the wall parts have notch parts 111 notched in the focusing direction.
