The screw connection (1), especially for metal pipes (10), has an externally threaded connecting-socket (4) with an opening (8) to take the pipe (10). A clamping nut (6) is screwed onto the socket (4). A metal cutter-ring (18) positioned between the clamping nut`s (6) annular flange (16) has an outer conical surface (30) cooperating with the flange`s (16) inner conical surface (36). A seal-arrangement (42) has at least one elastomeric peripheral seal (44) sealing the gap (40) leading out from the end (10a) of the pipe (10).
