IMAGE FORMING METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image formation prevented from making the performance of a circulation type paper conveying mechanism useless.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: an image forming surface decision means for deciding image forming surface information concerning whether paper where the image is to be formed is for one-sided image formation or double-sided image formation by referring for each unit with circulating first paper for the double-sided image formation as a starting point and deciding it while setting the number of sheets of paper received on the conveying path of the circulation type paper conveying mechanism as a unit when performing an operation where the one-sided image formation and the double-sided image formation are mixed; and a control means for controlling a paper passing state so as to make the paper pass through the conveying path for the double-sided image formation as the same circulation from the circulating first paper for the double-sided image formation to the paper decided as the final double-sided image formation in the unit referred to by the image forming surface decision means.
