<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption while displaying the hour with high expressive power. <P>SOLUTION: For example, a data generation part 62 for generating image data to be stored in a data storage part 54, a data transfer part 63 for transferring the image data stored in the storage part 54, and an image data generation control part 61 for controlling their operations, are included in a main control part 53 formed as one-chip hardware. In such cases, a power supply control part 56 executes power supply control for supplying power to the control part 53 if it receives notice from the control part 56 that set time has come.
