A call waiting tone setup method and a mobile communication terminal having a function thereof are provided to transmit a call waiting tone and call waiting tone information to a caller's terminal during a call connection with a receiver's terminal, thus the caller can set the call waiting tone set by the receiver to a call waiting tone of the caller's terminal during or after the call. If a call connection request of a caller's terminal exists, a receiver's terminal transmits a set call waiting tone and call waiting tone information to the caller's terminal(S1). The caller's terminal outputs and stores the call waiting tone information(S2). The caller's terminal accesses a call waiting tone service providing server by using the call waiting tone information, and sets a call waiting tone service(S3). |
