Provided are a polyurethane foam, which is superior in shock absorption, resilience, and a recovery rate and is usable as cushioning and vibration-proof materials for electronic equipment, vehicles, etc, and a production thereof. The polyurethane foam is prepared by the steps of: (1) adding filler, a catalyst, a crosslinking agent, and surfactant to a polyol component having an average molecular weight of 200-8000 to stir the mixture; and (2) adding an isocyanate compound to the solution prepared in the step (1) and stirring and reacting the mixture. The catalyst is at least one selected from organometallic compound-based catalysts consisting of bismuth carboxylate and zirconium carboxylate.
