<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which can suppress variation in power of outgoing light because the light passing through a birefringent member becomes light including a fixed component to the light transmissive axial direction of the polarizer by arranging the birefringent member having a c-axis tilted to the light transmissive axis of the polarizer between the 1st optical fiber and a polarizer, namely, between the 1st optical fiber and the polarizer, where the light made incident thereto is linearly polarized light. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connector is provided with the 1st optical fiber 3a, a 2nd optical fiber 3b to which the light derived from the 1st optical fiber 3a is guided and optically coupled, and the polarizer 8a having its light transmission axis between the 1st optical fiber 3a and the 2nd optical fiber 3b. Between the 1st optical fiber 3a and the polarizer 8a, the birefringent member 7 having the c-axis tilted to the light transmission axis of the polarizer 8a is arranged, where the light made incident thereto is the linearly polarized light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
