The plastic impeller (1) is for a drum-type radial fan in a vehicle heating and air conditioning system. It has several blades (2). A soft component is injected into or onto the bearing structure of the blades. The bearing structure should be at least three mm thick in the vicinity of the blades. The soft component mat form at least part of the blade profile.
