<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device capable of performing high-density recording by executing recording using near-field light to an information recording medium without greatly changing a device configuration. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an optical head 3 having a light generation part disposed to generate a near-field light for recording information by emitting a light beam to an optical recording medium 1 having a recording layer 12, a photodetector 4 for reading information from the light beam passed through the optical recording medium 1, and a disk driving part 2 for rotating the optical recording medium 1.
