Window lift assembly has a guide rail and a catch (10). A spring element can be attached to the catch and is retained at the catch by means of a retaining element (32). The spring element is guided through the guide rail from the relaxed position to the position prestressed against the guide rail by simultaneous exertion of the contact force on the catch. An independent claim is also included for the frameless motor vehicle door.
