PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a side gear 6 after inserting pinion gears 4 into an integral differential case 2. SOLUTION: This differential gear device for a vehicle comprises the plurality of pinion gears 4A and 4B rotatably held in the differential case 2, a pair of right and left side-gears 6R and 6L meshed with the pinion gears and connected to right and left axles and thrust washers 16 R and 16L inserted between the rear face of the side-gears and the inner face of the differential case. The differential case is of an integral type, and the pinion gears are installed through an opening part 2b formed in a side wall. Pinion gear holding parts 12A and 12B are formed on the inner face of the differential case. The pinion gears are inserted and then the side-gears are inserted.
