A method for transferring contents and a mobile terminal implementing the same are provided to transmit the contents by encoding the contents with a color code which is a combination of various colors and restore the color code to the original contents. An input part(110) inputs content information. A memory(130) stores the color codes needed for encoding the content information. A controller(140) converts the inputted content information into the color code and transmits the color code. The controller converts the received color code into the content information and outputs the content information. A display part(120) displays a video signal according to control of the controller. An audio processor(160) converts analog audio signal inputted from a microphone into a digital audio signal or vice versa. If the converted content information is text or image information, the controller displays text or image information to the display part. If the converted content information is audio information, the controller displays audio information to a speaker.
