PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durability testing method for tires comprising a deterioration acceleration process capable of reproducing a secularly deteriorated state of a tire in a short time with high precision. SOLUTION: The method is a durability testing method for pneumatic tires comprising a deterioration acceleration step for accelerating the deterioration of a pneumatic tire, and the deterioration acceleration step comprises a first step for preparing a tire whose inside space surrounded by the pneumatic tire and a rim is filled with high oxygen air whose oxygen concentration is 30% or more, and 10-3,000 cc of water, and a second step in which the tire assembly is left as it is at least three days in a high-temperature high-humidity atmosphere of temperatures of 50-100°C and humidities of 70-100%.
