The invention relates to an electric circuit switching device (1) comprising a translationally movable actuating button (3), which acts by magnetic effect on a switch (2) provided with an element movable between two positions for switching the electrical circuit. A movable permanent magnet (5) forming a magnetic field (M) is translationally connectable to the actuating button (3). In the rest position of the actuating button (3), the magnetic field (M) forces the movable element to take the other of the two positions thereof. The permanent magnet (5) is characterised in that it is shaped in the form of a torus. The inventive switching device (1) can be used, in particular, in a form of a push button or a position switch.
